The tuition rate for the 2032-24 academic year is $510 (USD) per credit hour . This translates to $2040 (USD) for each 4-credit (8 week) course. These rates include both tuition and fees. The tuition rates are the same for in-state, out-of-state, and international students. The cost for future courses may be subject to moderate changes in accordance with the actions of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees (Rates are not locked in as there is no guaranteed tuition for graduate students). Financial aid is available to students accepted into the program and enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours of coursework during the Fall and Spring semesters or three (3) credit hours during the Summer semester.

OMST is a self-supporting program and DOES NOT accept the following tuition and fee waivers (TFWs)

• Cooperating Teacher waivers
• Non-Academic waivers (including UIUC employees and employees of other state institutions)
• Academic waivers from UIUC, UIC and UIS employees
• Related Agency waivers
• Field Supervisor waivers
• Waivers granted through fellowships/assistantships as governed by the Graduate College at UIUC, or Retiree waivers

The OMST program DOES accept statutory waivers (veterans grants, etc).
